Cantonese opera Playwright and composer
Leo Lee is a Cantonese Opera playwright in Hong Kong. From a young age, he has developed a great interest in Cantonese Opera and had spent some time honing his opera performance skills at the “Love And Faith Cantonese Opera Laboratory” during his teenage years. He furthered his operatic skills under the guidance of the late Lam Kam Tong a renowned opera artist in Hong Kong. In order to further his academic study, he left a promising career in order to study at Missouri in America. Through the influence of his wife Chan Kei Ting, his passion for Cantonese opera is revived. He returned to pursue his operatic journey as a screenwriter. His work includes “An Official Home Affair” “ The Luminous Cup”, “Qipan Mountain”, “Old Days of the Theatrical Troupe”, “The Dream in the Butterfly Story”, “The Red Boy”, “The Fight of the Two Snakes” etc.
is a non-profit and charitable society with a mission to preserve and promote Cantonese opera in Canada.
