Miss Christine Leong is granddaughter of Mr. Bai Qiu Yung(白駒榮), an eminent Cantonese Opera Master and the niece of the legendary Cantonese Opera singer, Ms Bai Shusin(白雪仙). She loves music very much especially Chinese music and Cantonese Opera since childhood . 1986, she studied music teaching in Hong Kong College of Education, and graduated with honors. After six years as a music teacher, in 1994, Miss Leong migrated to Vancouver to continue her professional . During the period, she also served as a music leader in several Cantonese opera groups, such as Bai,xue-mei Cantonese Opera Art Institute, New-Star Cantonese opera, Xue Hong Opera Art Institute and Jing Wah Sing Music Society, January 26, 2003, she established Leong’s Music Society, as to continue inheriting and passing on the culture of Cantonese Opera.. She became the Music Director of Vancouver Cantonese Opera in 2015.
