The Awakening - Echoes of Resilience Workshop
Join us for a special workshop presented by the Vancouver Cantonese Opera in collaboration with the Chinese Canadian Museum. We will explore "The Awakening," the second Fusion Cantonese opera co-authored by Stephen Atkin and Rosa Cheng. Set in 1939 Vancouver, this poignant narrative highlights the patriotism and struggles of Chinese Canadians during World War II, focusing on their experiences of discrimination and their quest for justice.
