Vancouver Cantonese Opera (VCO) is looking for passionate individuals to join our classes.
What You'll Learn:
- Foundations of traditional stage performance techniques
- On-stage combat skills using traditional stage weapons like the double-headed spear and sabre
Schedule:
Once-a-week sessions — designed for consistent, focused learning
Your Commitment:
We're seeking dedicated individuals who are ready to:
- Commit time and effort to practicing and developing their skills
- Perform at workshops and community festivals as part of VCO's outreach programs after training
Language & Accessibility:
- Instruction in both Cantonese and English
- No prior experience or language skills required — all backgrounds welcome!
Classes are dynamic and hands-on, perfect for anyone who learns by doing.
